2016

The main branch of Doc Ferds Animal Wellness Clinic was established in August 2016.

Taking over the operations of the much older Petropolis in Timog avenue, Doc Ferds Animal Wellness Center grew to retain long-time clients from its predecessor.

This left DFAWC in charge of a legacy of veteran clients and patients in the pet-care world.

2017

However, the success of DFAWC lies beyond the original location.

Come July the following year, DFAWC founded another clinic in Cavite under the name Wags & Whiskers. Together with Doc Hannah Olavidez, Doc Ferds Recio and the rest of the DFAWC team started their own pet-loving and responsible veterinary clinic outside of the Metro.

Perhaps what makes the Wags & Whiskers clinic unique among the DFAWC clinics is its higher ratio of patient cats to dogs, as the other clinics mostly serve a client base of dog owners.

2018

In 2018, DFAWC established its first branch located inside a commercial mall. On the ground floor of Ayala Malls’ UP Town Center stands DFAWC’s third clinic, Doc Ferds Animal Wellness Center – UPTC.

The frontage of the Katipunan branch was further renovated in 2020, taking advantage of the lull of mall-goers in the time of quarantine.

2021

When the IATF guidelines permitted the continuation of business operations in the country, DFAWC opened its North EDSA branch in February 2021.

Along the highway and by its intersection with Congressional Avenue, DFAWC’s fourth location serves as a convenient and accessible branch with its prime location and spacious parking.

Oftentimes, the North EDSA branch also serves as the right hand of the main branch. Whenever the main branch in Timog is overloaded, clients can be reassured that there is a nearby DFAWC branch to serve and accommodate them.

Overall, Doc Ferds Animal Wellness Center has had and continues to have a productive role in responsible pet-care and exotic animal care in the Philippines.
